Meet my new pillow! Isn't she pretty?


I made this with cream colored vinyl and small scraps.


I sewed the squares right on top of the vinyl.


I remembered seeing Vanessa make a quilt this way, and I really liked the casual, summery feel of it.


I backed it with this leftover scrap of flannel from a baby quilt.


And she's stuffed with fluff from a worn-out old pillow I ripped open. I'm using this one to feather my nest. She's staying with me, and I'm glad! Why does it feel so scandalous to make something for myself?
